How to sell investments via the secondary market
While FOLK2FOLK investments are designed to be held until the end of the loan term, we offer a Secondary Market to help Investors access their capital early. Through this feature, you can offer your investment for sale to other registered Investors.
A sale on the Secondary Market is not guaranteed, but many investments have historically sold quickly — often within a day. It’s important to remember that this is an optional service we provide, and there may be times when demand on the Secondary Market is lower.
How to sell your investment
If you decide to exit an investment early, here’s how the process works:
- Log in to your Investor Portal
- Find the investment you’d like to sell
- Select ‘Sell’ and confirm the details
- Pay the fee listing fee of £250
- Your investment will be listed on the Secondary Market
- Once purchased by another Investor, the investment will transfer to them
- You’ll stop receiving interest payments from the moment the reassignment completes
Common questions
Is the sale instant?
No. While some investments sell within hours, resale depends on investor demand. We can’t guarantee another investor will choose to buy your investment.
Will I receive interest while waiting for a sale?
Yes. You’ll continue receiving interest up to the point your investment is reassigned to another investor.
Can I purchase investments from the Secondary Market too?
Yes. Once registered, you can browse both new and Secondary Market opportunities via your Portal.
