Folk2Folk arrives in Bideford as Fourth Agency in South West opens

19 Nov, 2014

As if the team at Folk2Folk hadn’t been busy enough; generating loans of over £2million per month and introducing nearly £40million of finance since 2013, the Cornwall-based people-to-people lending team has also launched four new agencies in the last two months.

The fourth and final agency in this first round of agency rollouts is Bideford in North Devon, which will open on 19th November with an Open Day on Bridgeland Street. Mark Westcott of Barr Financial has recently signed up as the Bideford Agent of Folk2Folk. He said: “We’re throwing open the doors to our office on 8 Bridgeland Street, on Wednesday 19th November between 10am – 5pm. “The Open Day is for anyone to come along and find out more about how borrowing and lending works through Folk2Folk. We’ll be welcoming solicitors, bankers, accountants, property developers, surveyors, commercial agents and other people in business in the town.

Folk2Folk works a little differently from mainstream funding channels and is able to support businesses and individuals where banks are currently unable, for reasons much read about in the national press.” “The open day is also a perfect chance for people who have a project which needs a rapid injection of funds to apply for finance. In addition, those who want to hear about lending money to an exciting range of projects in the local community can come along to hear about lending and receiving 7% interest on their capital.”

Folk2Folk now covers most of the South West region, effectively from Penzance, up to Bath. Agencies are open in Cornwall, Devon and North East Somerset in market towns of Falmouth, Launceston, Crediton, Midsomer Norton and Bideford. Plans are afoot to expand into nearby Counties in the next round of agencies and branches. As one of, if not the only, peer-to-peer lender in the world with a high street presence, this expansion is a bold step where no others have stepped before.

At a time when banks are disappearing off the high street, Folk2Folk is arriving and offering ‘Lenders’ an attractive 7% return on their capital, and business ‘Borrowers’ the opportunity to access finance in as little as 7-10 days. For more information or to make an appointment, telephone Mark Westcott on 01237 472321. You can register as a Lender or Borrower through the website www.folk2folk.com. Alternatively email bi************@*******LK.com.
