Chairman of Folk2Folk, Tim Sawyer, awarded CBE in Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
The entire team at Folk2Folk would like to offer our congratulations to the Chairman of our board, Tim Sawyer, for his recognition in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. Tim was honoured as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to Small business and entrepreneurs. Tim has over 30 years’ experience in financial services and is also currently the CEO of Start Up Loans, a private sector initiative backed by Government with a mandate of delivering £350m funding to start-up companies so that they can create 50,000 new jobs. The recognition of Tim’s work aligns with Folk2Folk’s commitment to support small businesses, with the company awarded the Best Lending Platform for Small Businesses by AltFi, the world’s leading news site for alternative finance.
