FOLK2FOLK Reports Record Turnover and Sixth year of Profit for FY2024
FOLK2FOLK, the UK’s largest peer-to-peer business lending platform by cumulative lending, has announced unaudited results for the financial year ending 31 January 2025, achieving its highest-ever turnover and a sixth consecutive year of profitability.
The platform reported record turnover of £6.16 million, an increase of 17% on the previous year (£5.28 million), and pre-tax profit of £1.84 million, a 43% increase from the £1.28 million achieved in FY 2023. It also paid dividends to shareholders for the fourth consecutive year, underlining the platform’s financial maturity and stability.
The results reflect a successful year for the business, underpinned by continued demand for fast, flexible, and property-backed loans from small and medium-sized businesses across the UK’s regions, alongside growing interest from investors seeking fixed, monthly income amid stock market volatility and lingering economic uncertainty. Investors currently enjoy interest rates starting from 8.75% p.a.
Roy Warren, Managing Director of FOLK2FOLK, commented:
“Our record results are a testament to the resilience of our business model, the strength of investor confidence, and the persistent demand from SMEs across regional Britain for fair and flexible finance.
“We’re proud to be delivering consistent growth while staying true to our mission of supporting underserved businesses and generating attractive returns for our investors. These results wouldn’t be possible without the continued trust of our investor community.
“Importantly, being a stable and profitable platform isn’t just good news for us, it’s a responsibility we take seriously. It enables us to continue serving both borrowers and investors with confidence, to invest in long-term improvements, and to manage all loans, including the more complex cases, with care and diligence.”
The year saw strong investor demand, with high levels of reinvestment and new IFISA subscriptions, underscoring the appeal of FOLK2FOLK’s monthly income proposition. The platform has now surpassed £760 million in cumulative lending since inception and continues to offer fixed-rate, interest-only loans secured against land and property.
FOLK2FOLK will publish its fully audited accounts in May 2025.
