Roy is an experienced financial services leader with a career spanning more than 30 years across credit and risk, asset finance, corporate banking, and portfolio management. As former Managing Director of FOLK2FOLK, he was responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business, overseeing loan origination, portfolio management, and operational performance.
Prior to joining FOLK2FOLK, Roy spent over two decades at Royal Bank of Scotland Group in senior leadership positions, including Head of Structured Asset Finance and Financial Structuring, where he managed a £14 billion portfolio across multiple sectors and geographies. His expertise covers underwriting commercial mortgages, development finance, bridging facilities, and project finance, with a track record of optimising portfolio performance and delivering complex risk and operational transformations.
Roy holds professional qualifications in banking law, monetary theory, and advanced financial analysis, and has completed leadership programmes at London Business School and Cranfield University. He is passionate about supporting regional prosperity and funding projects that make a meaningful difference to local communities.
